TO THE VIRGINIAN ON-LINE HOUSING RESERVATION SYSTEM
The Virginian
Memorial Day Soccer Tournament is pleased to announce that tournament
housing reservations will be available on-line for the first time this
year. Our partner, Certified Travel, has developed a proprietary on-line
reservation system to track and allocate room blocks for our tournament
based on date of request and availability.
HOTEL
AND FIELD ASSIGNMENTS
Hotels will be assigned beginning mid April 2008, based on your date of
reservation and availability. IMPORTANT: All teams MUST review
their hotel requests once field assignments are posted on the Virginian
website (on or around March 20, 2008), and all teams must complete their
final review and hotel selection by April 4, 2008.
CLUB
BOOKINGS
Clubs requiring a large block of rooms for multiple teams should contact
Certified Travel for special assistance.
CREDIT
CARD INFORMATION
Once entered, credit card information is "masked" in the system,
so you can give team members access to the account without worrying about
anyone seeing someone else's credit card information. By having individual
card-holders log into the system with your email address and password,
they can then enter their individual credit card information securely
and directly.

RESERVE
YOUR PLACE ON THE WAIT LIST WITH HOTEL CHOICES
a) Select your
dates and number of rooms
Click the link above. You will be asked to select your reservation dates
and the number of rooms needed, up to 20 on a single reservation. Once
you submit this information, you will be taken to a screen with a hotel
list showing rate, area location and amenities. A picture of each hotel
can be seen by placing your mouse over the hotel name. Click on the hotel
name to view the hotel address and amenities.
b) Review the hotel
choices - make your top hotel selection
On this hotel list screen, you will select your top hotel choice. All
hotels are listed as "To Be Requested" as this is a wait list
reservation. Click the "Book" button; then, click the "continue
to contact information" button.
c) Create your
account with Certified Travel or log into an existing account
The next screens will lead you through setting up a personalized team
account and password. Once you have an account set up with Certified Travel,
you can use your chosen email address and password to set up future reservations
in the years to come, as well as view and manage your reservation for
this year. This account will offer your team access to your reservations
24/7.
d) Enter your alternate
hotel choices and team information
You next enter team information (name, age group, gender) and choose your
alternate hotel selections 2,3,4 & 5. All of this information is stored
in our system along with your date of reservation.
e) Manage your
rooming list
The "My Account" system allows teams to enter individual names
on the rooming list, adjust arrival and departure dates, remove and/or
add rooms, and enter credit card information for individual rooms. All
of this can be done either at the time of the initial hotel request, or
teams can log in later to fill in their detailed information.
